The days after you exit a position can be surprisingly challenging.

The adrenaline is gone.

Your numbers haven't really settled.

Yet the candles keep coming.

And with every new candle, your narrative for the exit is either being reinforced or challenged.

Over time, I've noticed I'm getting slightly better at dealing with the blues of being on the sidelines. Less impulsive. Less attached to my narrative. More focused on factual price action and the broader context.

Other opportunities will arise, but patience has to be cultivated consistently.

Be self-aware of your FOMOmeter. Dial it back by putting things into perspective.

You sold and it keeps going up? You sold and it keeps plunging? Let the candles light your way, slowly.

And remember: when the time comes, you know what to do. You know what you'll feel.

That same jolt of adrenaline.

I'm ready for the next one…
